Content Additions Finally In Progress
I think I ask clients for text for their web sites every day at work. This is not the first time I've written copy for my own site, but I'll tell ya.... it's not that easy. Still, the architecture and design are firm and being refined everyday, so content is in progress to give people something to read.
For now, the idea is roll about a page of content out every day or so. I'd say that is manageable. The process will start with the Videography section focusing on wedding videos. After that, the backyard theater section will get its treatment with rentals as the primary focus. Everything else will be secondary or follow as a matter of upkeep and growth.
I will admit, as difficult as it can be, this development has been a lot of fun. The drive is still there and late nights stretched out in bed mean thinking out ideas for text and articles that can be added to the site. I don't want to say the word "blog" but that is where some ideas are going in addition to introductory text for services and pricing packages. I'm not writing a graduate thesis and most ideas will stem from personal experience and thoughts.
Still the word "blog" can be a dirty one. If used here it will be done correctly. No spewing off about random thoughts. If that were the case no one would care or visit. For now, the focus is relevance and the desire to provide information. Set a base then build. Establish roots and grow.
The site will most likely launch with the videography and backyard theater sections in place with a healthy minimum of pages. By "pages" what I really mean is text. Images and video are the next bits of content to follow. After all, I'm promoting very visual forms of media here so I better bring some damn fine visuals to the site. Well, now that I'm web-focused I can start thinking web placement when editing and compiling assets for projects.
I'd expect a few more incarnations of the website, but more and more the pages linked and accessed from all the menus and buttons will start to fill up with text. Images. Maybe even a coherent thought or something of use to somebody. Anybody.
Thanks,
Erik
