Ventura County Outdoor Theater Rentals

Add something new and unique to your next private event.  Outdoor movies are one of the most fun ways to bring life to your party.  Imagine a giant backyard movie screen showing your videos in a larger-than-life format.  It can be the focus of the event showing the flick you provide, or it can be an ambient asset working the background to give the night some style by projecting a slideshow.

Outdoor Theater Setup And The Viewing Area

Everything is setup just prior to dark and is planned well in advance of the event.  The screen is 12.5' X 7' and stands approximately 11' at its highest.  It is usually placed at the far end of the viewing area and is anchored for stability and security.  The projector is placed approximately 18' directly inline with the screen and stand no more than 4' high for maximum visibility.  Pro audio speakers are placed to the left and right of the screen for stereo sound.  A subwoofer sits under the screen to maximize low end frequency.  Cables and stands are configured to maximize the listening area while maintaining a safe viewing area. The entire setup process takes approximately 1 to 2 hours.

A general configuration for the setup of your outdoor movies can be determined prior to the event to help your decorating efforts.  Generally, your guests will sit immediately around the projector; kids up front closest to the screen, adults in back for the best viewing positions.

Backyard Movie Event Coordination

Setup takes place before dark and special arrangements can be made for early setup if that's what your event requires.  When the time is right, you will give the cue and the magic begins.  Viewing can start about the time it gets dark, and can run based on your specific schedule.  Accommodations can be made for start times, end times, and the possibility of intermissions, movie changes, or any other considerations for timing.  Basically, your needs are met as far as timing and there is no such thing as "too early" or "too late."
