Outside Movie Rental For Valencia, CA

Outside movie night party themes are quickly becoming the hottest kids' birthday party attraction. The remainder of the events for the Pyramid Pyro outside movie screen rental season (with one exception) would be a birthday party for a young child.  This particular weekend would bring our services to the high desert areas of Valencia and Stevenson Ranch, CA.  Friday led us to Valencia for a girl's 8th birthday party in the neighborhoods that over look the local high school.  We brought the equipment out and the traditional late Summer heat was felt, but none of the winds associated with the area deterred setup or the event.

A lot of fun was had during this outside movie party.  As it got dark, usually around civil twilight, we started things off with a customized DVD intro video.  This consisted of a series of slides lasting about 1 minute on a continuous loop while guests arrived, got comfortable and ate during the outside movie night party.  When you're working with kids, you have to stay on your toes.  A request from the younger guests came in the form of musical chairs.  To accommodate, I found an upbeat song and let one of the kids hit the mute button to stop the music and send an enthusiastic group of children to find a chair; with all but one succeeding.  Finally, the host provided a DVD of the birthday girl's most recent recital (song and dance).

Outside Movie Party Fun

As the main feature got started there were about 30+ kids fighting for position among the seats available.  This was the outside movie rental event where it was official that age determined seating position:  the younger viewers sit in front of the projector, and the older viewers hang behind the outside movie projector.  Things must have been a hit, because the host asked to show one more movie going later into the outside movie night party.  Pyramid Pyro doesn't charge for extra hours as long as the guests are having a good time (within reason) so we simply popped in a new disk and kept the party going.  It's pretty cool to see hosts requesting a second showing to keep the outside movie screen up.

Outside Movie Rental Tips

You also have to be careful with cables and outdoor movie equipment because, number one; it's dark, and number two; kids tend to be antsy and run around a lot.  To accommodate cables running from a power source and across a patio to the viewing area, a standard trick can be applied.

If possible, anchor the cable around a solid, stationary, heavy object near the source.  Then run the cable along a groove in the concrete of the patio surface.  The groove should fit most power cables and allow you to cover and secure it with duct tape (or something very sticky and comparable).  The outside movie screen rental business should be fun and safe.
